In 2012 in the framework of Workshop for Reading Past and Present Landscapes of Central Europe Czech, Hungarian, Polish and Slovakian researchers reconsidered the use of non-destructive archaeological methods. As part of the project targeted magnetic survey was carried out on the previously known Nagylók – Biller-völgy multi-period archaeological site, where Neolithic, Bronze Age, Roman Age and Migration Period archaeological finds were known. Magnetic survey not only showed a smaller inner ditch, but also a further outer double ditch system around the hillfort. Other areas were surveyed including a larger Roman rural complex.
