The once pioneering Polish Archaeological Record of Poland (AZP) that began in the 1970’s is still mostly undigitalised. Using and updating this database through printed files and sheets is becoming increasingly difficult, especially in the 21st century. Hence changing this situation is one of the priorities of numerous public institutions. We have collaborated in over 10 projects for various groups that aimed at creating digital databases for the AZP record. This included archival and new research in pilot projects testing the possibilities and benefits of computer based documentation. The above example was commissioned by the Warsaw Heritage Office and took place in one of the districts of Warsaw, Poland (Wilanów).
