Research on Medieval strongholds in the north-western part of Lower Silesia was carried out as part of a National Program for the Development of Humanities program titled “Atlas of Early Medieval Strongholds in Poland” by the Center for Research on Late Antiquity and Early Medieval Culture of the Institute of Archeology and Ethnology of the Polish Academy of Sciences in Wrocław, in cooperation with with the Institute of Archeology of the Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń and the Institute of Archeology of the Jagiellonian University in 2013-2018.
